Motability is a charity which helps disabled people of all ages to get around. It does this by helping them to use some or all of their Disability Living Allowance (DLA) at the higher rate Motability component, or War Pensioners Suppliment to buy or lease a car.

Ford has been one of the main supporting car manufacturers of the scheme since its inception in 1978. We believe that there is a vehicle in the Ford range that will meet the motoring needs of almost every customer. Highly experienced, Motability Accredited sales and after sales staff throughout the Ford Dealer network are able to discuss what will suit you best.

To qualify for a new car under the Contract Hire Scheme or Hire Purchase Plan of Motability, you must be in receipt of either:

• Higher Rate Mobility Component of the Disability Living Allowance (DLA) or
• War Pension Mobility Supplement (WPMS)

The award of your DLA or WPMS must be for a minimum period of 3 years to qualify for a Contract Hire vehicle, or for 4 or 5 years for a Hire Purchase Plan vehicle.

In both cases, supply of a vehicle is subject to your application being accepted and authorised by Motability.
